Worked with/on many of these and still have some of the obsoletes! My first data related work (mid 1970s) was in a dust free building that housed a mainframe computer that used magnetic tape. Everything (the building the computer and the tapes) was massive and very tricksy. Ah, those were the days.

Erm… Sorry about that, an attack of the Batty’s there. What I meant to say was that already I’ve seen a few scripts I’d forgotten about, and I’m looking forward to seeing what else is there.

Fantastic, Si, I know how much of an issue this is for you to sort out. Some of us only had typewriters back in the day: we had to wait for the tech to catch up to us! You’ve got a system and it seems to work, kudos mate…well done.

As an owner of every previous version of these movies in their “box-set” form I was not going to get this one. I figured that the DVD releases was so damned good (and they are) that the extra quality wouldn’t be worth the bother. You know what sold me on this?

Isolated soundtracks… I’m a sucker for them… I still have the first ALIEN release because of the dual isolated soundtrack…

Mmmm. You’re fast becoming my hero, Simon – so be careful.

I’ve been looking to do EXACTLY this for my teaching (and other) resources. ie – those that were created on past systems and are no longer accessible to me, except from the multitudinous archive boxes that currently weigh my poor little house into the ground.

Hope all is good with you and Sharon. Will we see you both at the Walton ‘do’ this year?
